Fairtrade Labelling allows consumers to buy products that have been produced and traded under fair conditions, thereby empowering disadvantaged producers and wage workers in developing countries.
FLO-CERT GmbH (Ltd) is the Certification Body of Fairtrade Labelling. FLO-CERT contributes through a credible certification system to the social-economic development of farmers and wage workers in the Southern Hemisphere.
FLO-CERT certifies products with a retail value of about 1.8 Billion Euros per year, produced by more than 1.200 organizations in 70 countries around the Globe, empowering over 1 Million farmers and wage workers. FLO-CERT GmbH currently has a vacancy in its Certification department for a:

TITLE
Certification Assistant Asia (m/f)

FUNCTION
Support in the organisation of Fairtrade audits and certifications of producers and Traders in Asia.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
•Ensure communication with applicants and certified producers and traders.
•Ensure central communication with the Certification Team Asia.
•Manage database on inspection and certification information.
•Ensure a proper documentation and filing of certification decisions.
•Manage invoice preparation and follow up on payments.

TASKS
•Assist Certification Manager Asia in administering Producer and Trader Applications.
•Assist Certification Manager and Analysts to schedule and administer inspections in Asia.
•Keep information up to date in the database, inspection plan and paper files.
•Support the Certification Team Asia to update producer and trader information in the data base relevant for Third Parties.
•Assist Director and Certification Manager to keep Producer Certification documents and filing systems in order including inspector information.
•Assist Certification Manager and Analysts in communication with producers and traders.

VACANCY REPORTING TO
Certification Manager Asia.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Necessary:
•Education as Office Administrator or Accountant.
•At least 2 years work experience in an office environment.
•Fluent in English and preferably an Asian language.
•Computer skills.
•Excellent communication skills, team player, flexible, facility in dealing with different cultures.
•Motivation for Fairtrade.
Advantageous
•Working experience with direct contact to rural population or in the export sector of agricultural goods – favourably working experience in Asia.
•Familiar with one or more of the following certification schemes: Organic, EUREPGAP, SA 8000 or FLO-CERT.
•Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia or Thai advantageous.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
•Job Share: 100%.
•Position is based in the FLO-CERT Office in Bonn, Germany.
•Start of employment: As early as possible.
•The office language is English.
•Salary is paid according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement Category (Tarifvertrag Gross- und Aussenhandel, Nordrhein-Westfalen), Salary Range IV plus an attractive benefits package.
